REYCS1

Summary

Dearall,

It has been a very interesting opportunity to work with all of you. We have learnt a great deal about other countries and about ourselves. We can see that despite the different cultures and countries we have some much more in common i.e. books, music, values, religion, etc.

We have also learnt about folk, costums, food and even clothing from other countries. We also noticed, from our question, that living in a city or in a rural area can make your answer very different.

Thank you very much.We would love to do it again!

REYCS2

Summary

Friends, it was very interesting reading your answers. We got some idea about your life and your contries.

From your answers, it is obvious that everyone wants to listen to the music, but of course everyone listens to different music. Some prefer R&B, Rap, House, Hip – Hop, but also folklore music is something that some of the groups are listening to.

Some groups have admitted that are not very enthusiastic readers, some are reading books necessary for school, but everybody agrees that Harry Potter is the most interesting book for your people nowadays.

Answers to the question how are you spending your free time were very different. Most of the groups said that they want to go out with friends, but in some countries you can not go in night clubs if you are not 18. So, young people are hanging out with friends, doing some sports and everybody mentions - shopping.

Thank you very much for your answers. It was very interesting reading them and learning from them about you and your life.

REYCS3

Summary

From the answers we got we saw that many people have the same activityes as hobbies (music, computer games, different sports, books, friends and family and let's not forget pets :)  ), and those activityes makes theyr world go round ... but we saw some other interesting activities that makes them feel good like the guys from Naklo: "That I can go to the forest with my friends and there we have a lot of fun or we just talkor I go to the school play ground with my friends and there we talk or something like that   or we go to Štucelj (a hill behind our school) and there we do the same things"  those are things that only consist of talking and nature combined :D and, other interesting things like "Trampoline jumping" ,skating, diving andTang Soo Do ( wth is that??? ). One more thing, we saw that religion is one of the most important things in your life and that thing is not quite applied in our life too, not all of us have an actual religion.
Btw thank you for your answers, we learnt some new things, saw some crazy stuff and enjoyed our "journey" on the internet amoung you! Thanks again!

Summary

We've really enjoyed participating in this learning circle. We've asked the question because we wanted to know what are the most precious things in your countries and we did not only get the answers but we've also learnt what you don't like and that's mostly politics and politicians. We've learnt a lot about the students, their hobbies, everyday life, etc, not only from our question but from all the answers and that made it interesting for us.

Here is our summary:

REYCS7

Summary

We think this project was really interesting. We found out a lot of new and interesting things about other countries in Europe. We could all see how teenagers live in other counties and I think we aren’t so different if we look generally.  But we are still different in some things/thoughts and this was really interesting to see. It is good that we are a little bit different because if we were all the same it would be boring; world would be plain.

Everyone loves animals and we all want to have a safe and clean planet, but not all of us do enough to preserve it. We all want to recycle, but we don't have the same possibilities. We find it strange that some students in Netherlands don't like recycling.

Important things in our life ar every similar, which is normal, because we have the same interests. We were slightly surprised that the students also pray to get better grades We  are from Slovenia too and we don't do that although we are mainly Catholics.

One thing was very surprising – in the catholic school in London there is a girl and she is muslim. Is she allowed to go to a catholic school? We have many muslims in our school, but our school is not catholic school.

The precious things in our countries are also more or less the same – art, landscape, poets,…. However, we were surprised that a school from Netherlands values freedom and this is good!

We liked question number 6 a lot, because it tells you a lot about the countries in the project and what things would be good to change and which not. A school from London emphasised entertainment in their new country, Macedonia the nature and they are also very proud of their food, which really make us want to try Macedonian dishes!

We also found out that students from Netherlands are the coolest – by that we mean they are satisfied with everything more or less – they wouldn't change politics in the new country.

Everyone at school like their friends, some teachers and especially brakes. We have almost the same school systems. PE is one of the most popular subjects, there we all practice gymnastics, football, basketball and athletics. We all spend more than thirty hours in school. We were a bit surprised that some pupils mainly like Maths. And in one school lessons last 75 minutes! We were really surprised by that, as we were with the Latvian school, where they also learn Russian!

Mostly we all like to go out with our friends. We go to cafes, cinemas or go for a walk. We all like sports. If we don’t go out we talk through the internet.

Some of students think that they don’t have enough of free time, so they would like to reduce their number of lessons. But generally they like their free time, place where they spend it and they wouldn’t change anything.

REYCS8

Summary

:

It was something new for us and we have really enjoyed to take part in the project.

We've joined it with curiosity about other schools, teenagers and their way of living.

We have learnt a lot of things about the participating schools and their countries. Thank you all for your interesting answers. There are some differences between us, but not so many. We live in different countries with different traditions which we should keep for further generations. But we aren't as different as we might have expected.

At the beginning we had a problem what to ask because everybody was interesting in free time, shool, food and habits. We too, of course. But at last we decided to ask about the values and are happy to see that we have a similar opinion about that subject. Family and friendship are the two most important things beside school, trust, loyalty and social security.

What else have we learnt? How to work and cooperate in a project like this one, how to search for information, choose the right one, present it to others, improve our English, be in contact with our English teacher per email. That was something new.

What else did we expect? To get in touch with some teenagers per email.

We would really like to participate at learning circles on the internet one more time. It was educational, interesting and funny.

Best Wishes,

Class 8 from Slovenia (Spodnja Polskava near Maribor)
