If you have read our class introduction, you have seen that we are a class of teenagers who like sports. We also like computer games and music like all teenagers. Our school as well as the landscape of Naklo and Slovenia provide us with numerous possibilities for doing all kinds of sports.

 

Now we would like to know from you about your ways of spending your free time:

 

- What makes the things that you do in your free time unique?

- Which parts of your world do your free time activities connect (school, family, festivals, your town or country)?

- How are you satisfied with the possibilities that your town/school offers you to spend your free time?

- What would you change about the possibilities of spending your free time in your school or town? Why?

In our free time, we usually watch TV or chat with our friends on MSN. If the weather is nice, we like to go out with our friends e.g. to the park or the cinema. When we are really bored, some of us like playing with our pets. As you can see, we are spending our time in many different places and ways. Oh, and don't think we don't listen to  music. We actually love music. We can listo to it day and night all the time. Sometimes our school is organising some activities for us. We love our free time and we think we wouldn't change anything at all.

We live in Bitola, town in the south west of Macedonia. It is not the capital, but there are a lot of things to do in your free time. Ussually we spend our free time with friends, walking in the town, listening to the music, going out in cafes. There are a lot of cafes and night clubs in our town. We also spend a lot of time chating with our friends using PC. We are satisfy with the life in our town. What we would like to have is - more concerts and more famous musicians to come to our town.

- What makes the things that you do in your free time unique?

 

    Let’s see…First of all: I see in this question, another question: What I do in my free time? In my free time, when I’m very bored, I usually like to do sports. I find in the last time that sports aren’t so boring. First of all sports are very healthy. On the other hand you can play with your friends and you can make new friends. When you do a sport like: football, skating, riding with the bike or tennis (also, my favourites sports), you spend awesome moments and you can’t lose anything. You can also visit new places and met new peoples. This makes the things that I do in my free time unique.

 

- Which parts of your world do your free time activities connect (school, family, festivals, your town or country)?

 

    I see these question in this way: Where I also do that things that I usually do in my free time? In few words, the answer would be: when I am at school, in the country with my family or when I walk in the town. Especially I do sports in the last period, when I am at school because I don’t have so long time to spend it with my friends. But when I am in the holydays, I use to do sports in the country or to go out with my friends and to walk in the town or to do a sport (especially football).

 

   - How are you satisfied with the possibilities that your town/school offers you to spend your free time?

 

     The possibilities in my town/school are very variously. I can say that I am very satisfied that I can do what I like the most in my free time. When I am at school I can play football, basketball, tennis, volley and other sports. When I am in my free time I can go out in the parks and I can ride with my bike or play football and a lot of games. In winter I can also go out and I can iceskate on the ice.

 

- What would you change about the possibilities of spending your free time in your school or town? Why?

 

     I wouldn’t change anything in my school. I like my school with its sport places and I’m proud of it. But in my town I would change something. Because I love very much bike riding I would make in each park a special place where you can ride with your bike or with your skate. I would also change human mentality because I want the parks to be cleaner and there must to be more trees and green places. But, sadly, this is impossible.

We all like to listen to music because it relaxes us, we like to go out because we don't live in a big city and we have a lot of forest where we can listen to birds singing. Every day is special for us because we do new things every day and besides school we don't have a routine.

 

Our free time activities are connected to the festivals in our village.

 

We live in a quite small village so we don't have many possibilitis for various free time activities. There are almost only farms around us. We are not so greedy as the others because we're satisfied with the things we can do by ourselves and which people in big cities can't do.

 

We have a lot of ideas about changing things especially at school. We would like to have more clubs to go to, the school could have better information technology, we would like to have an exchange school which could come to visit us.

The things we do in our free time are not unique, however, what they mean to us makes them such. Everything we do in our free time we do to relax and forget about all the problems. We don't just do so that we would have something to do. We do different things, such as dancing, playing instruments and do sports. These things mean a lot to us. 

Our free time activities connect us with my friends and our town.

In our town we have many areas where you can spend your free time and differently organised activities that all of us can attend. But there aren't many organised events, like concerts or shows. Actually there isn’t so much to do as we would wish. Mostly we just go for an ice-cream we walk along the town.

 

 

If we had a chance we would wish for more modern areas where people could take exercise or at least renovate the old ones. We would organise concerts close to the centre of the city. We would build more cafes that wouldn't be expensive. And if we had disco in our town it would be great, because, if you want to go on a party you always must go to Ljubljana (the capital). A bigger cinema would also be great.We would do all these things because we think we need them and they're missing to our town.

Monika thinks that the best FREE TIME can be spent with family and friends because they like you, you can trust them. She and most of her friends are happy to spend their time together. But they think they don't have enough free time.

Popular sports in our district:

•         Skiing

•         Swimming

•         Basketball

•         Football

•         Hockey

•         Ski jumping

•         Tennis

•         Table tennis

•         Sailing

•         Twirling

•         Judo

•         Karate

•         Boks

•         Cycling

 

     Different generations:

•         Sport connects people.

•         People play sports for fun or real (train it).

•         Elder people usually play bowling or walk.

•         Kids play football or basketball.

•         Others like skiing, swimming, cycling, climbing, walking or dancing.

 

In our class:

•         Everybody practices a sport.

•         The most popular is football, but the second is tennis.

 

Sports in our district:

•         We have got a gym,

•         A small football stadium,

•         A bowling place,

•         A hockey hall and a swimming pool.

•         There are some running, walking and cycling paths.

 

We live in a small village, so the possibilities for free time activities aren't big.

Therefore we sometimes go to the nearby town Slovenska Bistrica or to a bigger town, Maribor. There we can go ice-skating, swimming, to the cinema, shopping,...

As we told you in our question, we all like sports. Most of the boys play football and the girls play volleyball or handball. Our school offers us good possibilities to play our favourite sports, however, there are a few things which we would also like to have to spend our free time better in our village. It would be great to have a swimming pool and a cinema in our village so we wouldn't have to go to the nearest towns every time we wanted to swim or watch a movie.

Since we're all diffrent people we all got diffrent things we do in our free time, but some of the things we do are chilling outside, playing computer games, doing sports and spending time with familly

Pretty much satishfied with the accomadations we got here in Rotterdam, lots of places where you can go practice for sporting.

Sports in the Netherlands:

The Netherlands are good at Korfball. It’s a sport that you throw the ball in the basket and then you have a point. It’s not very difficult but your condition must be very good. You run a peak!

Also The Netherlands are good at football. The boys play in an orange T-shirt with a white pants and orange socks. Them condition is also very good!

  In our free time we go in for clubs: sport, dancing, singing and study foreign languages. We like meeting together with our friends just for chatting, walking, playing spotr games, watching films listening to music, etc. At school we also have different parties, go on excursions or just have meetings.  

We woild like to have a swimming pool, a new sport ground and a field for playing football. Sport is our prioroty if we speak about free time.
